Overview

Cornerstone House is the name we give to our dedicated ground floor community space at 8 Chipmunk Chase, Hatfield, AL10 9GH.

8 Chipmunk Chase is a modern residential 4-bedroom house owned by the Methodist Church, previously a manse, and now let on a commercial basis. The community space has been separated into a standalone centre with separate access with the intention to provide a long-term presence in the distinct Salisbury Village community.

The activities at Cornerstone House fall under the direct oversight of the Circuit Leadership Team and currently include a weekly Thursday morning coffee group, occasional social gatherings and regular use by Young Life International.

We anticipate a sustained growth in the regular use of Cornerstone House by circuit groups and local community groups, with opportunities for partnerships with organisations who share our aims for inclusivity, care and mutual support.

A management structure and finance budget have been agreed for Cornerstone House with the intention to develop a creative and flexible use of the community space, with an annual review of progress and future plans.
