Welcome to our Eco Circuit!

As part of the Methodist Church in Britain, we are answering God’s call to love and serve by caring for God’s world through environmental stewardship. Working alongside A Rocha UK’s Eco Church scheme, our circuit supports local churches in integrating sustainability into every aspect of church life, including worship, property management, and community action. Together, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint, advocating for climate justice, and protecting the earth for future generations.

Inspired by our District Eco Policy, we have formed a dedicated circuit eco group. We are passionate about learning together and exploring practical ways to foster eco-friendly practices across our churches, from greening our worship to small everyday changes. We meet quarterly, and anyone interested is cordially invited to join us for our discussions and ideas-sharing.

Our sincere thanks to Rona Wightman (MRMC), Mark Sheppard (Panshanger), Ros Hancock (HRMC), Dorcas Chimes (Oxlease), David Carter (SJPB), and Stuart Johnson (Circuit Senior Steward) for their valuable contributions to the resources on this page.
